Festival of Sacred Music

Since the restoration of the Saint-Vincent Cathedral, completed in May 1972, a Festival of Sacred Music is organized there every summer. The aim is to bring this much-visited building to life culturally, by offering works from the vast repertoire of classical music written for the church.

The 2022 Rendezvous

The Saint-Malo Sacred Music Festival Choir, the linchpin of the festival, performs each summer, sometimes in conjunction with other ensembles. Various ensembles, French and foreign, are invited. They are most often made up of adult choirs and orchestras. A place is also given to children’s choirs. Some ensembles have been present for a long time, notably the Chapelle Ducale de Düsseldorf, now directed by Martin Fratz.
