The Festival Quai des Bulles
This festival was created in 1981 by Jacques Plouët accompanied by the cartoonists Jean-Claude Fournier, Alain Goutal and Dieter and quickly grew. Since its creation, the festival’s motto has not changed: it is the desire to promote and support the work of authors and creation, to help disseminate the works to the general public and more specific audiences. For many years, the festival has taken place at the Palais du Grand Large, it has been strengthened by volunteers and diversified through a program of authors, meetings, exhibitions, animations, etc… It has created its own “moments” that have become a must for its visitors, such as “Les contes à bulles” (Bubble stories), its revelation prizes, its children’s area, its comic book cafés, etc. Each year, Quai des Bulles is supported by its association and welcomes around 40,000 visitors.
