    NEW FOR 2022: European mink!
The European mink, a small semi-aquatic carnivore, is one of the most endangered mammals in Europe, classified as “Critically Endangered” by the IUCN. (its population having decreased by 90% in a century…). With this new species, La Bourbansais, like many in Europe and as the IUCN emphasizes, thus reinforces, with this 18th EEP (European Breeding Program), its dual vocation, on the one hand, conservation of endangered species in their environment nature, but also on the other hand, of pedagogy and knowledge of biodiversity.

Its Castle and its Gardens (listed as a Historic Monument)
The Château (16th – 18th century), classified as a Historic Monument since 1959, whose interior can be visited, bears witness to artistic creation between the Renaissance and the Classical Period. Still inhabited and furnished in Louis XIV and Louis XV styles, its guided tour allows tour guides to discuss many historical themes punctuated with anecdotes. Its various monumental facades overlook the “French-style” gardens, the “Carrousel” and the “Potager”, also classified as Remarkable Gardens.
And always its 2 fabulous SHOWS, (unique in France), from April to September: "Around the World in 80 birds" (show of birds in free flight) and "Dogs and Men" Illustrating the oldest relationship between Animals and Humans, 30,000 years of collaboration…

For the little ones, in addition to the large PLAYGROUND: The fun-educational path of biodiversity, in the heart of the forest!
Course specially designed for children, to make them discover the local fauna and flora while having fun in a vast fir forest, full of mysteries and discoveries...
