Plage du Sillon

3 km long, it is the largest sandy beach in Saint-Malo. Along this beach, you can reach Intra-Muros in Paramé. The beach of Sillon includes the Grande Plage, the beach of Hoguette and the beach of Rochebonne.

The dyke was built from 1883 to 1913 on an old sand spit (the Sillon) that once linked Paramé to the walled city and was the only access on dry foot at low tide.

The 1671-meter long dyke runs along the Grande Plage and offers a pleasant stroll lined with many villas built around the end of the 19th century.

Along the Sillon, a breakwater alignment protects the dike from the force of the waves. Built at the beginning of the 19th century on the idea of ​​engineer Robinault of St-Servan, the breakwaters in oak wood have a depth of at least equal to or even greater than their visible height.
