Tourism Engineering Division

• To ensure the development and coherence of the tourism offer on the scale of the territory of competence: on the communities of communes of the Emerald Coast, the Pays de Dol and the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, Romantic Brittany and Saint-Malo Agglomeration (71 communes).
• To be the partner for the implementation of tourism development strategies of the communities of communes, community of agglomeration and communes.
• Be the partner of socio-professionals carrying projects and their tourism development.
• Be the coordinator for the implementation of the tourism strategy on the scale of the Destination Cap Fréhel – Saint-Malo – Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel and the partner of the Contract The Mont-Saint-Michel and its Bay.

Development and planning:

• [Organize and develop] the tourism offer on the destination.
• [Coordinate], with Dinan Agglomeration, the integrated strategy of the Destination Cap Fréhel – Saint-Malo – Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel: definition of a shared program of actions and operational implementation.
• [Develop] the strategy of the Destination Contract Le Mont-Saint-Michel and its Bay: shared definition with Normandy, of a mutualized program of actions and operational implementation
• [Support] the implementation of public tourism projects, development studies of municipalities and communities of municipalities and agglomeration.
• [Accompany] the implementation of private projects (technical assistance, marketing, standards and regulations, research funding, qualification and professionalization …).
• [Develop and enhance] hiking: establishment of a network of long and short hiking routes, local loops. Definition of routes, Departmental classification (PDIPR), signposting, costing, randoguides, flyers.
• [Coordinate] the bicycle scheme throughout the Destination to create a territorial mesh. Definition of routes, signage study, development of services, accompanying leaflets ….
• [Implement] tourist signage for public and private partners: directional staking, Local Interest Signage (SIL), image panels… Regulatory study, technical implementation file, costing, implementation monitoring
• [Enhance] the heritage: support for communities to implement their local projects.
• [Enhance] the offer through intercommunal structuring animations: technical, administrative and operational support for animations: Dory Festival, Rendez-vous Contes, Rando Baie du Mont-Saint-Michel.

Quality approaches:

• [Accompany] the implementation of accessibility (disability) and obtaining the Tourism and Disability label for tourist facilities of professionals and communities. Diagnosis, recommendations for improvements … obtaining the label.
• [Raise awareness, train] socio-professionals in digital for a rise in performance of their activity, via digital tools.
• [Set up] and promote tourism labels: Accueil vélo, Étape Rando Bretagne, Atout France classification, Ville et Territoire Vélotouristique…
• [Observe] the economic tourism activity: identify the accommodation offer and the leisure offer of the destination.
